Switching Up the Management at Boss Media The second quarter of 2007 means new elections for new Board members, and the unexpected loss of the company’s CEO and President, Johan Berg. The Swedish based online casino gambling turnkey provider boasted decent results for the quarter. Though there were a few loses in the first quarter, because of the current issues surrounding the global online casinos industry, the company is expecting a quick turn around.
Boss Media is well known in the online casino industry, and the like many other internet gambling companies, Boss is expanding into other markets and forming strategic partnerships as a way to combat the current instabilities in the internet gambling industry.
And even though it seems that some online casino gambling companies are being forced to close down, Boss has shown an 8 percent increase in sales, proving that the company still has, and is gaining market share in the new and emerging online casino markets.
The recent changes in the company are reflected in the new Board. Three Board members were re-elected, and two new individuals brought on board. One of the re-elected, Meg Tivéus was appointed as the new Chairman of the Board. But perhaps the more startling news was the recent announcement that Johan Berg would be resigning as the company’s CEO and President.
Berg has been a positive influence at Boss, the last years he has led the company to greater profits, and a larger share of the online casino gambling industry. Berg has cited personal reasons for leaving the company, but he also announced that he will be available for consultation for several of the weeks following his departure.
The Board members released a statement detailing all the positive changes Berg has facilitated at the online casino company. They were also sad to see him move on, “The Board is very sorry that Johan's personal situation made it difficult to continue to act as President and CEO for Boss Media.”
