CryptoLogic Spreads Further into Online Poker Industry

CryptoLogic is a leader in the online casino and poker software industry. They provide state-of-the-art technology and software to some of the most popular global online casino and poker Web sites in the world. And now, as a way to further service the online poker industry rather than just online casinos, CryptoLogic has entered into a three year partnership agreement with World Poker Tour Enterprises (WPT).

Part of the partnership plan outlined includes a subsidiary of CryptoLogic. WagerLogic Ltd. is responsible for making the Web site look and feel like a WPT, they want it to carry their brand, but while using the CryptoLogic software that will allow them to truly go global as the world’s largest shared gaming network outside of the United States. The new site should launch in June 2007, and the partnership is planned to last until at least June of 2010.

This partnership is one of the first major decisions to come from Javaid Aziz, the new CEO and President of CryptoLogic (CryptoLogic’s long-time president stepped down just recently and is well known for the stellar reputation he cultivated for the company in the online casino and online gambling industry). Aziz commented that the partnership a positive step for both WPT and CryptoLogic, "It is the prefect strategic step for both companies, as WPT and CryptoLogic are pioneers in the global gaming phenomenon. WagerLogic's flexibility in working with licensee-specific software needs, as well as its adherence to strict regulatory standards and our shared commitment to growth in markets where online poker is embraced, are just some of the key factors that brought WPT and CryptoLogic together."

WPT also had positive sentiments concerning the partnership with CryptoLogic, and the prospects for their subsidiary WagerLogic. Steven Lipscomb is the President, Founder and CEO of WPT, and he also commented on how the partnership should pan out. Liquidity is a big deal in this business. CryptoLogic has proven itself to be an industry leader that delivers a superior product. This deal ensures that starting with day one of our online gaming re-launch, there will be a plethora of cash games and tournament offerings available for our customers on a stable and proven platform." He goes on to elaborate about WagerLogic, “We will launch with a look and feel unique to WPT and will work with WagerLogic to incorporate additional WPT features that will begin to redefine and distinguish our product and customer experience."
