U.S. Online Casinos for Party Gaming

Like many internet gambling industry related companies, Party Gaming lost a substantial portion of the company’s revenue when it was forced to pull out of the U.S. market late last year because of the online casino legislation in the U.S. Most countries retreated to the safety of Europe for headquarters and focused their online casinos at non-U.S. markets like Europe and Asia. Party Gaming though has recently announced that it is currently negotiating with the U.S. authorities over the company’s position in the U.S. both before the UIGEA, and now after.

Intense speculation surrounds Party Gaming’s U.S. talks, and because neither the company nor the authorities have issued any press releases regarding the talks, online casino industry analysts provide the best guesses. According to some of the current speculation, Party Gaming may be establishing a position with the authorities that absolves Party Gaming of any wrong-doing concerning transactions and online casinos operated for U.S. players before the UIGEA. At that point most analysts believe that Party Gaming may be looking to service current American companies that are entering the internet gambling by operating sites targeted to players outside of the U.S.

Several of the large land-based casinos have announced plans to use the already well-known brand recognition to operate online casinos aimed at the European market and Asia. If Party Gaming is the first of the companies to negotiate terms with the U.S., then it could be the first to offer online casino games and services to American companies – giving Party Gaming a clear boost in the American gambling market.
