U.S. Online Casino Gamblers Lose Roxy Online casino gambling is not illegal in the United States as of yet—instead the government has made internet gambling nearly impossible for U.S. players; gamblers have few options for processing online gambling payments and deposits. Now, the extremely popular Roxy Palace has announced that it will no longer accept U.S. gamblers. And that means that U.S. gamblers will have an even harder time finding online casinos willing to jump through the necessary hoops needed to allow U.S. player gambling.
Many U.S. based Roxy Palace users will really feel the sting of this latest announcement; options for well-known and respected players are becoming slim. Roxy is world renown for high quality online casino games and quality service. And Roxy Palace operates on the extremely popular Microgaming platform and software.
Just last week the online casino company announced that as of June 1, 2007 Roxy was eliminating the option for U.S. based gaming. The company cited lack of U.S. based online casino players as a main reason for the new policy. Specifically, the Roxy Palace newsletter stated: “The contribution of bets from US players currently comprises an insignificant amount to [Roxy Palace] and most affiliates have low exposure to that market.”
But the move could prove very beneficial for Roxy as the company announced that it will have a new focus on non-U.S. players. Specifically the company plans to use the new multi-language online casino games offered through Microgaming as a way to step into more markets.
