The entertainment section of the Liberty is why the group is interested in buying out the remaining Fun Technology shareholders. Liberty, not affiliated with the online casino industry, purchased the a 53 percent controlling interest in the company in 2005. Now though, the company has offered shareholders a generous offer to sell the remaining 47 percent of company shares. Cdn $3.50 for shares that are currently worth roughly $3.15.

Funtech has yet to come to a firm decision regarding Liberty’s current offer. Now that the skill gaming and online casinos gaming industries are taking off in many international markets, the sub-committee reviewing the offer will have a lot to consider. FunTech did confirm that a committee of independent directors will be established by the Board to review the offer.
