New Rules Lead to New Training Intiative The British government is firm that the 2005 Gambling Act will take effect this September and all online casinos, betting, and generally related gambling sites must be up-do-date with the regulations and new restrictions as of September 1, 2007. Part of the main focus of the new online casino gambling regulations centers on the concept of responsible gaming efforts. To this end, GamCare has announced a new training program (in partner with Absolutely Training) that will prepare the company to take a proactive step toward dealing with problem gamblers and addicts.
Kate Stewart oversees Betfair’s social responsibility division of the online casino betting company and comments, “GamCare training has always been an important part of Betfair’s social responsibility programme. This new e-learning solution will enable us to ensure that all staff, across all locations, onshore and offshore, can benefit from GamCare’s high standards of training.”
The training programs will focus on all of the areas associated with online casinos gambling addicts. From preventing addictive players from accessing online casino sites to identifying possible problem gamblers and then finding adequate help for those gambling addicts that need a greater level of care.
Absolutely Training is fast becoming a hot commodity in the online casino and betting industry as all of the internet gambling sites must prove that the companies and the employees take extra measures to ensure that company actions are socially responsible.
