What's the Daily Mail Up To? The newspapers in the UK are still in heated debate over the online casino bingo site affiliated with the Daily Mail. In short, The Observer last week reported that comments in the Daily Mail regarding the planned Manchester supercasino are hypocritical considering the newspaper is affiliated with online casinos sites. And beyond just that, The Observer noted that the affiliated site, Mail Bingo, is not current with recommended gambling advice. As soon as the story broke though, the Daily Mail apologized for the oversight and began steps to immediately correct the issue. But now it looks like the online casino bingo site may have been dropped altogether from affiliation with the Daily Mail and its publisher Associated Newspapers.
The Daily Mail has also noted that though The Observer claims the affiliation with the online casino bingo site is hypocritical, the Daily Mail has never asserted opinions against all forms of gambling, including online casinos gambling, the newspaper was specifically against the supercasino plans for Manchester.
But now all of the debate is a moot point as the MailBingo.com site is no longer up and running. Apparently the reaction of the public is largely responsible for Associated Newspaper’s decision to black access to the online casino bingo gambling site. Once The Observer broke the news that the site was in violation of recommendations issued from GamCare and other advisory groups in the UK. From there church groups and campaigners expressed concern over the contents of the site, the lack of gambling advice for problem and underage gamblers, and the largely online casino gambling games on offered through the bingo site.
At this point the Daily Mail has attributed the questionable online casino gaming content to the outsourced operating company Cashcade. The company also announced that it began to part ways with the gambling site several weeks earlier and was therefore not fully aware of the new content and gaming choices.
