The partnership was unexpected by many as this is apparently AOL’s first step into the European online casino betting market and according to the company marks the first of many future European market partnerships.

JAXX UK Ltd is a the British subsidiary of parent company FLUXX, based out of Germany. The partnership with JAXX was a natural choice for AOL considering that the two companies already have a history in the online casino gambling industry in Germany, or more specifically, the German lottery.

Now that the two companies are linked, AOL members will have a whole new range of betting options at the tip of their fingers. Part of the partnership agreement allows AOL members to place bets on both domestic and international horse races and allows them access to bet on the many sporting events. AOL is hosting the new services and online casino interface, and on JAXX’s end, the company’s London office is responsible for setting the odds and writing any other pertinent Web site content.

The market prospects are fantastic according to a spokesperson for FLUXX. He commented on the consistently increasing betting volumes in Europe and the still developing nature of the online casino betting industry. AOL also noted the great future potential in the European market and Micheal Steckler, the Head of Interactive Marketing for AOL’s European offices. Steckler commented on company’s plans to significantly boost market share in Europe in the coming months and years.
