Justice for Sportsbook Murder Though the case is a year old, the murderers of an online casino sportsbook employee may come to justice as three men were arrested last week. The employee, Luis Muñoz Vargas, was allegedly shot by his employers for defrauding the online casino sportsbook out of $25,000 in an internet scheme. Police announced the arrest of three individuals allegedly involved in the man’s murder.
According to a newspaper in Costa Rica, the three men detained for suspicion of involvement in the online casino sportsbook murder are two Canadians and one Costa Rican. According to the police investigation, the two Canadian men, identified as Francisco Palermo and Alli Mohammed believed that Vargas had defrauded the online casinos sportsbook through an internet scheme. And though the police have not found that allegation to be accurate, the two Canadians believed that Vargas had in fact defrauded them.
The Costa Rican, Carlos Flores Altamirano, acted as a body guard for the two Canadian online casino sportsbook owners. His exact involvement in the murder is unknown, but police believe that Altamirano was present when Vargas was shot.
Situations like this online casinos sportsbook murder are often used as an example of the level of corruption and criminal activities that run rampant in the internet gambling industry. Unfortunately though, even in countries with the most controlled gambling regulations, criminal activities are a possibility. |
